Be tolerant despite . . .

Be joyful despite the dark nights,

Be bold despite the midnight frights,

Be spiritual despite the critical views,

Be forgiving despite the payments of dues.

Be masculine despite the social attack,

Be feminine despite what it seems to lack,

Be complete despite everyone saying you're not,

Be Christ despite the tension in which that word's wrought.

Be healthy despite being surrounded in waste,

Be authentic despite others saying you have no taste,

Be relaxed despite the surrounding make believe race,

Be confident despite others wanting to set your pace.

Finally, just be just because you are,

Be clear your life is lived where you set the bar,

Forgive everything, everywhere, in every moment you can,

And be happy despite being human.
