as I looked in his eyes
and caught a glimpse
of
time
sand
falling
grains of memories
smiling faces
laughter
sorrow
pain
tumbling against each other
pushing through the portal
freefall granules
of yesterdays
moments
in the eyes of someone
I never knew
someone who never
knew
me
