CAPHARNAUM
Standing outside
The gate to “Capharnaum”
The Town of Jesus where
He began Him ministry and performed many miracles;
In silence I reflect upon the Bible stories
I’ve read about this remarkable place;
His healing of Peter’s mother;
His preaching in the Synagogue nearby!
Oh, if only I had been there
To see firsthand His miraculous works;
To hear His sweet, gentle voice!
Still, in my heart He is near;
His voice urging me to rest in Him;
His unconditional love forever mine!
Thank You, Jesus! I love You so!
A closer walk with You I will forever seek;
Your indwelling Holy Spirit reveals Your Truth;
And grants me wisdom, knowledge, and understanding!
Is it any wonder He was so sought after when He dwelled on Earth?
“And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum,
There came unto Him a centurion, beseeching Him.”
(Matthew 8:5)
