The Empty Tomb
Indeed
There was a garden
In the place where Jesus
Was crucified
Just like Scripture says!
And in the garden
Was a new, unused tomb
Where Jesus was laid!
And so outside this tomb I stood
Awaiting my turn to step inside
There was no stopping the flow of tears
For my emotions had the upper hand!
Even though I knew my Lord was not there
Still I relive the moment as if it were just happening!
I step into the now empty tomb transfixed
This was where they laid my Lord
I stare at the empty space awestruck!
“Dear Jesus, thank You for this act of love.”
Praise the Lord! From this place He rose!
He rose and conquered death He did!
And He is alive forever more!
And in our hearts He lives!
Hallelujah!
“Why seek ye the living among the dead?
He is not here, but is risen…”
[Luke 24:5,6]
