What do you call a man with no arms or legs
Hanging on a decorative wall?
“Art,” you say;
“No, Nick,” say I!
Nick Vujicic is a young man of God;
Born without arms and legs you see;
But given a ginormous heart of love and thanksgiving
For God Almighty, who makes no mistakes!
Ah, yes, He created Nick for a reason;
To touch a world governed
By appearance and prejudice!
Yet here is Nick
Undaunted by his lack of limbs
Swims, plays golf, kicks a soccer ball, and writes!
Nick travels the world with his message of Christ;
He does things that shatter the minds
Of normal humans with arms and legs!
So look not upon the outer shell
To determine your usefulness;
Look instead upon the inner self
For that’s where you’ll find power and strength
To do God’s will and purpose, and gladly so;
In the person of The Holy Spirit!
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord,
Thoughts of peace, and not of evil,
To give you an expected end.”
(Jeremiah 29:11)
