Somebody who declined to leave a name gave me a new description. (I'm being polite here). This is my answer
There are people who have never fought my fights
But feel free to criticize my words;
And, understanding nothing, use their rights
To undermine my use of vowel and verbs.
But still I strain to codify the thoughts.
It sometimes helps, in analgesic vein;
Too scribble, doodle, sometimes overwrought!
To bicker, bitch, and sometimes to complain!
It never was my thought to please the whole;
But merely thoughts to share for mass revue!
And, understanding that, I bare my soul
In hope that others also will pursue.
For, critic tho you be, there are those
Who's love of words will far outweigh
Your stulted, prosaic, use of prose
And we are more enriched because of they.
Much needed to be said, well, you've said it. This is a relevant write. Thanks for saying what I was thinking...

I found this a very entertaining poem. It is so true that critics seem to really want to press down those who speak in differents ways but Im tellingyouto keep writing like this poem

Concurrence here. I've had the same problems with my poetry. People just don't always get where I'm coming from or don't like my "style". Oh well. Too bad for them!! Great read.

It's never been easy to please everyone. Nor is it realistic to think every piece one writes will receive a 10 rating. Hence, your review of GET OVER IT! for me. This poem, though, got a top rating from me because of its message, polite as it was. I write verse quickly, and it sometimes can be its downfall. I read it back to myself, and I wonder if anyone will find it worth their review, trying to be unbiased, but finding it pretty well-written in the end.
I concur 100%. This "critic" is an utter coward who has no sense of what true poetry is. This is my first time reading your stuff, but even I can tell you have a passion for the language. Keep cooking, word chef.

A good reply for the critic. Never let others sway your heart, alway write what you feel.
Some critics are trouble makers. Don't let them get to you.
I've always used my own judgment when I write. I will listen to good honest critiques, but whether to change the writings to their likings rests upon my own best judgment, as we are our own best critics.
