Clouds
kiss the sun
Shadows
sweep the Earth
The world
turns a shade blue
Some
scramble
Others
hide
Reaching for those umbrellas
But
don’t you wonder
As wierd
as it may sound
That maybe
Just maybe
the clouds are just
lonely
And our fear
Our dismay
Is what brings the sky to tears?
I’ll kiss them
I’ll grow wings
And fly up high
To give those big blue clouds a hug
That’s all they need
They just want a heart
To see them
And smile
To think they,
As blue and threatening they may seem,
Are beautiful
Yes, they’re blue
But
Look again
When they flee the scene
Chasing the sun
Over the hills
They blush,
Yes
They do,
With happiness
With sweet pink
For someone
like me
Looked up
Smiled
And appreciated
A lonely
Blue
cloud
