So many people say they're sick of the snow, but I LOVE it! And it seems to have taken away my "Can't Write" funk! YAY!!!
My Chimera
Strange sounds
Car horns
Jerk me out of unreality
I strive languidly
To tether my vision to the road
Passing under me
Too quickly for the conditions
Of the weather
For the condition of my mind
As combusting lights
Flicker their way into my subconscious
And just as quickly wither away in exhaustion
Snowflakes ever so precisely
Position themselves around me
Cushioning the fall of my mind
Into sweet sweet reverie
I distantly discover
A sour bite in my mouth
With the most pleasant of aftertastes
To lull all my senses into
A snowy mindset
Can I be overly careful
In leaving behind my
Irrational apprehension
Can I let go of the useless chemical balances
Itching to jump the synapses
That are too unstable
Can I leave my wrecked car in the ditch
To just twirl among the snow
Strange sounds
Car horns
Keep me out of unreality
I’ve given up striving to tether
Strained vision to the road
When all I want to do
Is watch the snow fall
Whether it be white
Or red
Driving in snow is a learned art as I am sure you are already aware. Your presentation and your feelings are well expressed and yes, snow is a breathtaking sight....
