In praise to the Lord

Holy Jesus Holy Baby, you were born into this world to die.

To pay the price of all our sins and you never questioned why.

My Lord and Savior, would you have come if you had known?

The hate they felt deep in their hearts when each pick up a stone.

You looked at them, and they saw themselves within Your eyes.

They saw their many sins that day and were caught up in their lies.

They looked at You, and dropped the stones upon the ground.

When the woman looked up again there was no accusers to be found.

Out of love, You told the young woman, go and sin no more.

She kissed Your feet, and in her heart you saw her open door.

Holy Jesus Holy Baby did the world hear your cry?

Holy Jesus Holy Baby thank You for not questioning why?

Holy Jesus Holy Baby, you were born into this world to die.

To pay the price of all our sins and you never questioned why.

Did you know even then when you were safe in Mary’s arm?

That a day would come when your people would wish to do you harm.

Mocking voices cried out in hate as your flesh was ripped and torn.

Beaten and dragged through the streets wearing a crown of thorns.

Yet you opened not your mouth in your own defense at all.

You didn’t try to save yourself, you didn’t try to stall.

Willingly you carried your cross down that rocky road, that day.

Not thinking of yourself, only those you came to save along the way.

Holy Jesus Holy Baby did the world hear your cry?

Holy Jesus Holy Baby thank You for not questioning why?
