I’m not asking for much but a little bit of time-
I’ve got a little bit of love to give and a whole lot of rhyme,
Give me what I’m asking for if that’s not too much to demand,
A hand of critical acclaim and the soul of a complete man.
When I’m in the zone and speaking the word,
When I’m six lines deep and thinking about a verb-
Just give me a little bit of respect, that’s all I’m asking for
Not sure what the hold up is with PA will give you the news when I have a release date for "The Composer"

I love Aretha!! I sing her in karaoke. Great poem.
