from the book The Miseducation of James L Daniels....read!(coming soon!)

Let me introduce myself-
Oh my eyes have already spoken?
I am authentic, but pleather-ish at times,
In the summertime sweat beads began to form on my forehead.
I used to live on Castle Hill, John Denver would sing about the sunshine on his shoulders and I’d always tell him that I had been to hell and the temperature was exactly the same.
It was the first house on the left-
Goliad Street,
Where I was born and died all in the same manor-
Now everyone’s trying to resurrect my soul and keep my voice alive as if I were Tupac Shakur.
My aim is not to bore you, but to leave you rich inside so you can really have something in common with your favorite talk show host.
It’s just that I must tell you all of this so that you understand exactly who I am-
Right in direction, but wrong in the center,
Equal in the beginning-
Now my addition has become backwards,
I am just who you thought I was,
Miseducated.

We become ourselves when we don't know the microphone is on. Thanks, James.
