I have had high eye pressure recently.

Glaucoma


 


And how those angelic halos


around the streetlights--


change


to a homage of


nefarious intent.


The pressure


the threat


builds


and those images


of her smile,


the Maine coast,


the surf jumping


the rocks


as its mussels maintain


a tight grip.


 


And I don't see


in wanton gulps


but I sip


baby


I sip.

A very scary thing, Doug. Of all the senses, I somehow think that loss of sight would be the most difficult, though those suffering from other losses might disagree with me on that. I have heard that there is now treatment for Glaucoma, though I have yet to hear of a cure, so I hope yours goes into remission very quickly so that your loss will be of minimal proportions.
