Thirteen years, no more, no less
Together we have faced them, proud and fearless
Our trials many, our regrets few
Thirteen years of being in love with you
Now and then I muse upon my fate
Without you, what would life be?
A cheerless void, an empty plate
Adrift upon a shoreless sea
That which has past cannot be altered
You’ll forever be a part of me
And never have you faltered
How did I get so lucky?
What the future holds we cannot see
And perhaps that is best
Your love is what matters the most to me
For it has passed every test
Just remember, I’m a writer, not a poet…
Love
Me
