If I could

I’d tell you the stories

Of golf games I had

That were far better than bad.

If I could

I’d share with you

The projects in wood

I liked to do.

If I could

I’d tell the dangers

As electrician I would face

I’m happy to still be in this place.

If I could

I’d take you

On my boat

And we would just fish and float.

If I could

I’d talk to you

And share my heart

And we’d not be apart.

If I could

I’d say thank you,

I love you, please,

Maybe even a bit of a tease.

If I could

I’d stand

Straight and tall

And from my mouth give a call.

If I could

If only I could

Have a conversation with you

And tell you what’s new.
