This was written when I was a teenager. I had a difficult dysfunctional and abusinve childhood, and this was my way of expressing my pain and confusion.
Passed from icy cold womb Into a colorless room Breath started with a whck Upon a bloddy ass Hold my hand, do this, do that Shoved here, shoved there No, DON'T DO THAT Smack, Bad! Bad! Cries echo out of a choked throat Frowning face swirl, swirl Into conciousness, My little head spins, spins You claim godhood Say you know right from wrong Living so far from goodness Suck, suck away my youth Poison me with your sicknesses Break me as you have been broken Your darkness drains my soul Yet leave me live to bear it Wicked giants twisting me Into their idea of perfection I must contort, conform at any cost This rotting thing you call truth Decays, decays, flies swarm, Around this tainted verity, dies..

Dear C; Those kinds of childhood memories never do go away. I know mine didn't. So we must rise above them. I vowed my kids would never suffer the abuse I did. I spanked them, but never slapped them around or took out my anger upon them. They telephone me regularly; I visit them; they have even asked me to come live with them in my old age. The cycle stopped. I stopped it. (you may wish to read my poem "The Light at the End of the Tunnel") All the best to you and yours, Doc
