It begins in the home.

Mama taught me how to cook.
Daddy taught me to chop wood
for the cook stove, fireplace and
Duo-Therm for hot  bath water and warmth. Mama taught me to sew
clothes. She taught me to watch over
the family if she was not home when
the big winds would come.

As a small child I knew how to call on
God for protection from the black, low
and funnel clouds.  Stand in the middle of the field and trust God to shift the  wind
another way.

When all was well we would sit around the fireplace with a lantern, energy we did
save and Mama taught everyone, including Daddy, about verbs, adverbs, adjectives and such.  We read and math we did learn early, so when I became five I was ready
for the little house with the bell on the side of the road, down the street from the church. I did not need to wait for six.  I started school early, had my homework
and was never late.  I was average, but smart enough to use my head.  God gave me Wisdom.

I was home schooled first.  I learned with my family.  I'm glad I listened, 'cause God
knows today, it's hard teaching these parents their responsibilities.

Raise up the children the way you would have them to grow.  Is it maybe they don't know?  Daddy and Mama read the Bible with us before we would go out in this world.  Then they left us to grow.
