INNOSENCE ROBBED

There was a change in him that no one saw he cried often at little things or nothing at all

He played inside a closet they thought that was cute.
They never dreamed that he was hiding. From what you ask? Himself you say! But why?

He didn’t like himself but this he didn’t understand all he had was confusion going on in his mind.

He gave big hugs to his mom told her often that he loved her needing to hear her reply
I love you more son

He was an easy going little guy most of the time, but every so often a rage came from inside. Out it came and all you could do is wonder why?

The bath was one of his favorite pastimes sitting and playing till the water turned cold.
Another was playing with old paper bags putting them on his head
being the monster he felt he had become.

He’s got the biggest brown eyes but the sparkle went out.

You think he’s not feeling well You don’t realize hes in his own private hell.

He likes to sleep a lot he don’t want to play.
Again you don’t realize he’s just trying to get through, one more day

As the years go by you think this is just his way.
He held it in for five long years. Then one night came the flood of tears.

He looked so scared on that night as I sat and held him ever so tight.

I told him I loved him and to tell me whats wrong.

As he looked up through his tears nothing could have prepared me for what he said.

He said mommy remember a long time ago, then he told me her name and what she had done. She told me never to tell anyone.

Well I wanted to Kill!
This person had robbed me of my son.

All the innocence gone, the personality changed.

I got a hold of myself and I sat and explained about how people, aren’t all the same.

Some are sick others are mean, some like to hurt I told him again.

If someone ever hurts you again run to those you trust.

Don’t hold it in.

Today she walks free
He will never be.

So very sad. I was one of those kids and its always there but if you try hard enough you can use it to help someone else. Thanks for the honesty.
