You came into my life one day

Sometime I questioned what was the reason

Then as you departed to journey on

I realized that it was only for a season.

We knew that we would connect from the very start

As we smiled and laughed; for we shared the same heart

You trusted me with your most precious things

And I trusted you with mine

You shared your secrets in confidence

I opened up in time

I loved you with an agape love

Like only Jesus could

An unconditional love that meant no matter what

Like every Christian should

Now the time has come where you must leave

I smiled as you walked away

But in my hear it pains with grief

Oh how I wish that you would stay

You said its best…especially for you

You have to go to be free

There are some things that you must work out

It has nothing to do with me

So I must accept what God allows

Although it burns within

I pray our season together was more than fruitful
