There is a way that seems right to a man but in the end it leads to death.
I knew a guy who got converted in prison, became a missionary, built up a sizeable youth fellowship within a bad housing estate and was was later ordained a minister. The devil had a keen interest in destroying this man's work; too many souls were being added to the kingdom. Satan therefore got to work by attacking the security of his marriage. The guy fell for a woman. He left his wife, Moved in with the woman. The youth fellowship crumbled, kids were disillusioned. He dropped out of the church, and his role as a minister. Ended up loading cigarettes into slot machines. I lost track of him. He was the guy who had once urged me to join the mission otherwise I'd be accepting second best. Ironic, isn't it?

and it is by grace alone that we may be saved. There is more than one definition of grace, but this grace you speak of, as you say, cannot be earned, but only recieved freely. To receive His salvation through faith, by grace (to receive something as a gift, which cannot be earned) is the definition which you have expertly applied here. The ultimate gift is offered to all, through His finished work on that old rugged cross on Calvary. Well said Joyce!

An incredible "Light Write" Joyce.

And He is the One that so many are trying to renounce now. Not Budda, not Confucious, not the Wiccan visionaries, it is Jesus Christ that they are trying to discredit. Jesus is more under attack in this world now than ever before.

Would that everyone could read this glorious write and understand exactly what He did for humanity. Blessings to you dear sister.

You are doing so well here in Authors Den Joyce. I am proud of you.

Thank you for hearing and bringing a message we all need!

But a choice that you make,
Which road will you take?

I have a ring with an oval ruby, the transparency of its reed color, the life that shines in within always make thing of a drop of blood.
Not from any gory event, just a lonely drop of blood giving a warm feeling in my heart through my finger.
This poem does the same.

Joyce, you know I love it when you write sraight from your heart!! This is so beautiful and so correct in the story of how much our heavenly Father does love us. I have walked with Him a long time, but we are walking together for a lifetime. If just one person reads this, it and it spreads the word and influences them, keep em coming. I throughly enjoy them!! But, I like most of you other work too!

My Dear Joyce, This is wonderful...you took it to another level. Yes, God works in amazing ways to extend His hand to the lost. Isn't it amazing that the one letter that changes "word" into "world" is "L"? L incredibly is used in words like lewd, lecherous, licentious, liar...all connected to this evil world!
Great write, Joyce. Praise and glory to our Lord for still wanting to save His people everywhere. Sometimes I hesitate and wonder whether I should post some of the prose I write. Then when I see others on the same theme, I know for sure He is at work. Wonderful! :)

Have a safe and terrific weekend.

God Bless

Jesus has received 5,455 wounds on his body through torturous inflictions. He did not utter a word of pain, but to silently recieved these wounds for our sins to allow us to live and repent.
