I wrote this on my way home to Tatopani.I was 14 at the time.It used to take three days walk to get to my village. Now it only takes about four hours drive and a few hours walk. The national (Kaligandaki highway)is under construction. This was written on my brother's diary and I had no recollection of this to exist. But to my surprise my brother had kept the diary and reminded me about it.So,he dug it out for me.Iam posting it here as it is.

Walking up and down with the sun
without warmth.
I was bound for Bunthati,but
got stuck in Tirkhedhunga.
Oh! Tirkhedhunga with your
glorious music of nature.
Those insects,those rivers and
all those birds who performed
that hearty music.
Looked up to see what it was
and what it is.
It was our friend that stony mountain quite
asleep with a misty blanket over her.
A sort of chilled ice ran through my veins
as I felt how ice cold she had felt
to use that misty blanket over her green charming unbuttoned jacket.
Showing her dark bright beauty
planning to show a fairy dance
on the next sunny day.
She has atmosphere to breathe
the natural music and have a sweet
dance,but she is abandoned
by the sweet song of nature.

"...to use that misty blanket over her green charming unbuttoned jacket." I love this line!
You should KISS your brother for digging this up! HA!
It is truly a work of art, in that it was felt...not only by the writer, but by the reader and her...
So glad I stopped in today!
Love and Peace~

Superb. Such imagery which all youngsters have in bucket loads, the secret is keeping the imagination alive, when there is so much going on..
You took us on the trek with you..

Say Something Terrorible v3 by RickthePoetWarrior

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.

Has-beens and coffee get together to recreate a same old new tourist trap in a land even the First Nations don't want.
