A rooster crowed this morning and I thought about that day,

When Jesus was brought to trial and had nothing else to say.

The words he shared throughout his days were seared upon their hearts,

Peter, John, and Paul, were some he set apart.

They told the stories of his days, numbered as he grew,

A love he has for all of us, free and meant for you.

All should know forgiveness, all should share his love,

John has tried to tell us through his words from God above.

Peters' known forgiveness, Paul has seen the light,

Jesus Christ through Paul, walked the road and fought the fight.

The battle wasn't armor, the battle was the law,

All who try to live by it, will suffer and will fall.

Grace through Christ is the answer, salvation is the key,

Unlocking doors to heaven and all eternity.

Faith, hope, and love are his ways for us to live,

Giving thanks, praising God, and teaching us to give.

The rooster's crow each morning, a reminder every day,

Jesus is God's love for us and he's the only way.
