Three Wise Men

by Teresa M Walker — Read all 50 poems by Teresa M Walker

The feeling of the three wise men seeing baby Jesus for the first time must have been so overwhelming, that it impacted their choice to follow their hearts to be known to us, as wise men.

Poem Artwork

Three wise men entered Bethlehem to find the Christ born child,

Laying in a manger, resting quietly with a smile.

In awe of one so small so sweet, they knelt to watch his face,

The beauty and the wonder of God's giving, loving, grace.

Guided by a star to him, they brought their precious gifts,

Gold, frankincense, and myrrh, so small compared to this.

Three wise men bowed and worshiped, but knew that unto them,

The Christ born child was born that night in the town of Bethlehem.
