The angel said, “Don’t be afraid. I’m here to announce a great and joyful event that is meant for everybody, worldwide: A Savior has just been born in David’s town, a Savior who is Messiah and Master. This is what you’re to look for: a baby wrapped in a blanket and lying in a manger.”
At once the angel was joined by a huge angelic choir singing God’s praises:
Glory to God in the heavenly heights,
Peace to all men and women on earth who please him.

The Shepherds
The shepherds were attending sheep,
On a dark and lonely night,
An angel appeared before them,
And gave them such a fright.
I bring good news to share with you,
In the town of Bethlehem,
Born this night in a manger,
Is God's son he’s given to man.
Such joy they felt within their hearts,
Heavenly angels all around,
Peace on earth they were declaring,
The shepherds went into the town.
They found the babe in a manger,
Wrapped in swaddling clothes,
Mary and Joseph watching over him,
A love each one did show.
The shepherds spread the word to all,
About the Savior's birth,
Praising God in the highest,
Peace goodwill, to all the earth.
