A Real Country Cowgirl.
Has she ever rode a horse, felt the wind in her hair,
Has she ever mucked a stall,
While others watched, but she don't care.
Her alarm clock is her horse, a timer all its own,
Yes, sometimes it wears her out,
but she never feels alone.
Her boots to others ugly,
She doesn't care a bit.
Her horse and love for country,
Are her Diamonds, in the "Shit".
Her horse, she named America,
It too loves being free,
God and country, she loves praying,
On country cowgirls, bended knees.
Real country cowgirls, won't be bragging,
Real country cowgirls, don't really care,
But, "Real" country cowgirls, love wavin',
American flags in the air.
When you meet a "Real" country cowgirl, she'll say, y'all sing along,
When you do, you'll be singin' country,
It's the "Real" country cowgirl song..

Long ago and far away, my brother took for his bride a freshman cowgirl who was two times Miss Wisconsin rodeo on her performing horse, Ebony, wearing outfits made almost entirely with sequins sewed by her mother. In that era, 1965 they were bellbottoms and probably outside her boots. When she went out east, she adapted and taught European style riding to clients.
