Today's Prayer: Unbridled Truth

One of the worse things that the “Churches of Believers” can do is to restrain or compromise the Word of God based on political correctness and out of the fear of offending the receiver of God's truth.  Never in this country’s history have there been an outpouring of persecution to the faithful in the name of tolerance, when in reality we are the ones being forced to accept the teaching of iniquity to ourselves and our children by our laws.  -- And the “Church of Believers” continues to sit quietly secure within the four walls of the church, while the world around them dies in the shadow of their steeple.
 

We are commanded by God to be the “Light of the World”, yet many are hiding it under a bushel, thus quenching the light for those who needed to be delivered by God’s truth. There are many who label themselves as Christians who go around cherry-picking feel-good scriptures about God’s love, while choosing to ignore His warnings of the consequence of sin and judgment.  Furthermore, the lies of “Separation of Church and State” have permeated the Church, thus rendering them in many cases ineffective.
 

The “Church” was never meant to be the slave of the Government, nor it’s Master but is responsible for the moral conscience of our society!  When the church is forced to adhere to laws that compromise God’s word, then the light of God’s truth is snuffed out.
 

Without truth, there will never be conviction of sin
 

Without conviction, there will never be repentance
 

Without repentance, there will never be reconciliation
 

Without reconciliation, there will never be salvation
 

True Love is not afraid of the consequences of calling iniquity SIN.  For in doing so, the faithful demonstrates God’s light to a dark world.

 

Dear Father in heaven, I come to you today to embolden the “Churches of Believers” with the Spirit of Truth and Life.  Please forgive us for the many times we have sat quietly on the sidelines as the world around is dying within the lies of secular humanism, homosexuality, adultery, fornication, pornography, and other forms of sexual deviancy.  Please forgive us also when we have partaken in these sins either in spirit or in action.
 

Lord, please revive our hearts and use us to make a difference for our communities and our country.  We are a nation that has turned its back on you.  Allow the light of your spirit to burn within our hearts and cause us to take action for your kingdom and for your glory.  Transform our hearts to one of boldness to proclaim your truth irrespective of its popularity or political correctness.  And Lord, please fill us with the Holy Spirit and teach us to walk in your ways.
 

Create in us a mind that is connected to your Spirit with words that are from the mouth of God, and actions that are directed by your son, the giver of life.   This I ask, in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, AMEN.
