The angels will dance around a rainy moon,
the clouds will embrace their precious souls
that once we held in our arms -
but -
but -
one day we had to let go -
let go of what was -
what could have been -
tell me -
tell me -
it's all a dream -
gone when I arise
wiping away the teardrops
that still sting my eyes.
My screams go unheard -
no one hears my voice
that echoes deep in the darkness
the pitch black of my eternal night -
no one knows the pain that survives
with a vengeance so deep inside -
no one --
no one --
no one but I.
Teardrops dress the grass
that covers you
like the early morning dew -
glistening in the early sunrise
I lay down my head upon the ground
listening -
listening -
for your heart beat I can't hear anymore
This is my eternal waking
upon the early morn
this is my world
listening -
listening -
for your heartbeat I can't hear anymore...

Ouch! My heart beats in pain with this one... too much I love about this one to really break it down for my favorite part. It is a heartfelt beauty!

Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
Thank you for your interesting poem---yes, dreams do have clues for our inner lives, for creative insight, and even for premonitions.
Well done!
