Great tribute to a city that by all reports is a marvel without parallel. I have never talked to anyone who has been there who didn't fall in love with San Diego. Only wish I thought I'd make it out your way.

What a fantastic description. This would be a great one for the travel bureaus that feature San Diego tours. Richard, you've found your niche. Your poems just seem to get better all the time. The words just flow and your recitation was great. Well done, Richard!!

Moving to San Diego from the Chicago area, with what I thought was a business, we lived there for about two years and it was lovely... Except, the business turning out to be fraudulent, try to find a job there. We finally had to move to the los Angeles area to find work.
Now, about thirty years later, I still think of San Diego as the loveliest city I've ever seen... for a visit. But it did get us from Chicago to Southern California, so thank you San Diego.
Good poem, though.
