A tongue-in-cheek response to a poem (viewed on another web site) which complained about poor personal hygiene in general, and its effects on the writer in crowds.
Why do you feel that you need to squash the spirits of those who seldom wash? Why poetically send 'em all to the slaughter when their motives are possibly saving of water?
In Australia, the land that I call my own, where droughts give citizens cause to moan, there's nothing as crucial, I want you to know, as strict conservation of H20!
Please understand that, next time you shudder at the cruel effects of another's malodour, to rage and castigate you shouldn't oughter: the problem is surely a shortage of water!
So down play the blame game, just always prepare by wearing a gas mask to filter the air. Such pre-emptive action will attract blessings twice: you'll support water saving and breathe air that is nice!

Sigh, My dear Patrick.. with your ever-present poetic genius, you have again penned what, on the surface, is a piece of humor with perfect rhythm and rhyme.. AHHH.. BUT.. firmly packing your tongue into your cheek, you have served up a guideline for responding with sensitivity a universally charged warning to all who would wander through life letting their shallow and superfical replies attempt to dictate without ever looking beneath the surface. This hollered loudly to me that would we all but stop and think.. look and listen to our heads and hearts, we might just find ourselves with kinder or at least more throughtful outlooks toward our fellow men/women... and wouldn't THAT be a step toward a better world?!
