conviction
isn't my affliction,
never was, nor now is it
maybe that's the problem with it..
my multi-tasking
and multi-asking
and basking and flasking and
silly love asses,
got too many choices with my
multi-talent noise
ringing in my ears,
through my tears,
but there's no difference, right?
my art's my image, right?
of what I see or want to be
it doesn't matter, not really
as long as love can come
and breath
inside my heart again.
that's bullshit, just pretend
transcendance of remembrance and
ultimately denial,
God, why so many trials?
I think to myself many, many times
these thoughts, too many times
'cause just then I'm reminded
by local, young dark eyes, blindsided
with much harsher realities
like having nothing more to eat
than soda, beer and maybe chips
while mom and dad close doors to fix
their fix...
God, I am blessed, forgive
me?
and help me to help end their need...

Thanks for getting me to see,

again...

The reality is...that you can see anew. How beautiful life is when we see the world before us in a whole new light. Excellent piece of writing.

This is great poetry. Not everyone has the strength to get past harsh realities, reach into the lives of those who can't and yank them out. Your poetry has the power to make it happen. ~ Sara

rose, what a powerful ending as I agree with Felix. we become so overwhelmed with our own issues or what we think of as issues that we fail to see real life.

The beauty of this write is like the ending says it shows that the authour is seeing the world in a new way or perhaps reseeing it with things she missed before now in plain view. Lovely for sure.

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
