I'm sure there are times in everyone's life when they have these feelings.
Yesterdays are gone, tomorrow's yet to come,
no one knows where we go from here.
It seems as though there's much road to travel.
I have so much still to learn, I fear.
I'm tired of traveling this road by myself,
but no one wants to travel it with me.
I guess we all have to find the end of the road alone.
It isn't the way I thought it was supposed to be.
I've given myself to others I've met in life,
but never as completely as I have to you.
Your love is the best but something pulls me ever onward.
Seems as though there's something yet I have to do.
I hope I find out what's driving me soon.
I've lived enough life already for two people.
I wish I could settle down and live in peace and love,
but the next mountain beckons me like a church steeple.
You want me to stay and be your loving cowboy.
My heart is full of love, but I can't be what I'm not.
I know tomorrow morning I must be on the road again.

My love will always be there, I may be back real soon.
Maybe I'll have found my solitude, then again maybe not.
