I wrote this poem yesterday, I used to work for the child service department in Washington and some things I seen there where sickning, and while I can't disclose any information on events I can write a fictional story based on events some events.
This seems to be happening everywhere these days and is going overlooked. It's a sad world when things like this happen every day!

IN THE FORM OF A DOLLER BILL

Sally spent her whole life

Locked up in a cave

Feeding off the reminisce

Of the little food he gave

Her bed was made of feathers

The walls were not of dirt

She spent her days sullen

From all her pain and hurt

There was no handle to turn

No windows there to open

No way to escape this place

This prison she can’t burn

What left her locked inside

Was the fear of retribution

For a parents hand was steal

On such a small backside

Sally heard the teachers talk

She knew the hitting wasn’t right

But her Dads hand shook plenty

And so she couldn’t fight

Sally saw many kids be ripped from mom’s hold

Rachel’s mom forgot her booster shot

Jenny missed some school

Sally went overlooked because she sleeps on gold

Daddy said they deserve

To be taken from their home

Cause there’s no one there to care

And no money of their own

There is just no room in a Foster home for she

For daddies lawyers are powerful Men

And he would Never let that be

All the kids shoved in foster homes

Simply for missing their shot

Left marks upon their families hearts

And left kids like Sally forgot

Sally weeps in silence

And she remains there still

For justice only seems to come

In the form of a dollar bill

Update:   Sally was found dead in the closet of her room laying on her feather pillow with a broken neck. Undetermined death they said.

Foster Care was simply to full of kids, with no money for lawyers, who were there unessesarily to place Sally in one. Sally's dad had money.

P.S. Only about ten percent of every child in Foster Care is in there for a legitament reason. But 100% of every child ripped from home is scarred for a lifetime and will have a lifetime of hardships. Trust is ditroyed, Comfort is taken, Security, Hope, they stop loving, stop caring, and 10% will end up commiting suicide by adult hood.

Cure: Take those who need to be taken and help the families who can be helped.

Chrissy,
Thank you for reviewing my poem and leading me to yours. This makes my heart ache for this precious little girl that time forgot. How sad! Sally is in Jesus's arms now. Never to be hurt again. Thank you for being Sally's voice, Chrissy. We can't shout it enough. Keep writing for the children!

Blessings and Love,
~Linda

Your poems point out the atrocities of foster care. This ought to be more in the news. Good stuff!

This is a stark and real "slap in the face" that is well-deserved for those of us who have not experienced such horrors. Thank you, Crissy. Thank you for saying what needs to be said. Sure it hurts but it's the truth and it would not be known without someone like you. Love and peace to you,

This really breaks my heart. Yes, many kids who deserve to be saved aren't saved because of the way the society is looking at the money signs. It isn't fair. I feel that the society has failed many needy children who are in need of love.

This one makes me cry.

Yet a loving dad can't see his son due to an ex's jelousy.. the world is bonkers.
Time to return to Christendom from the craddle to the grave, as a starting point...
