Years pass like wind through the willows
your voice echoing through my memories
Yesterdays are gone like dust in the wind
though I go on thinking of you time and again.
Lonely are my days
time seems to stand still
then passes with my heart hanging
on to words you’ll never hear and reality
like the wound to my heart reminds me
that you’re gone.
written by Marybeth Tilley
I can empathize with this poem. I lost my Mother years ago by a hit run driver. You will always miss her...that never goes away Marybeth. She still lives in your heart.
Blessings,
