The human drama of so many years
Is often told as a history of war;
Never more than the last hundred years
With millions killed and injured soar.

It is the same today as in the past.
When the politicians speak of peace,
The soldiers know their destiny cast
And cries for victory never cease.

This violence cannot continue more;
As President Kennedy was wise to state:
Unless we finally put an end to war
The end of mankind will be our fate.

Time to act as Citizens of the World;
Farewell to arms our sacred creed
with new flags of the earth unfurled
New civilization and peace will succeed
