As this day of mine goes on dear Lord, I find that I need you. Yes and at times that need becomes greater! Where is the peace I seek and desire except in your arms. I know not to place my trust in man, or woman for I would be sorely disappointed yet I did again. That you know me, I am assured over and over again, Oh there are some who look to my failings though you Lord have your light over my head, in you I will not stumble. You blessed me with gifts like no other, For this my soul dances with joy. Oh how I desire to know this always! Alas my Lord I am too human. Even though I try to remember in times of trouble I often forget. Then I call your name and your smile reckons with the darkness around me then I am on my way . What things can I hold to, none that would ply my soul from Thee nor anything that tests your rule. In you is my hope. I live upon your promises, There shall I die also! This life you gave me by allowing them to take yours. My hope falls upon you as your blood fell upon the ground. Hear ye the silence, the silence of sin defeated, Death conquered in one blow. In this dear Lord I am assured, Yes even satisfied that you are, yes dear Lord you are!
