This is a poem in my book, Living with Victory after Past Mistakes

Where is God in me?

Somehow I have tucked Him away.

Where is my Light?

How can you see

the God in me?

Serving God is right,

But my actions are all out-of-whack.

I fast and pray,

But I still fall weak.

I try to put sin away,

But it keeps coming back.

I even try to be humble and meek.

But all my trying

has not made me strong.

Even with all my crying

I ask God,

"What am I doing wrong?"

He said, "Not enough reading your Bible-

too much TV,

Not enough fasting,

too much eating.

Not enought praying,

You need to bend your knees."

God, please give me

Your guidance and understanding.

Lord, help me to do Your will,

Teach my mind to be still.

Steer me clear from the Devils' trance.

I want my light back!

I need You God.

Help me to stay on track.

Teach me to number my days

So that I may gain

a heart of wisdom.

Lord, teach  me Your ways

So that my living is not in vain,

Because I want to see Your kingdom.

I cry, "Lord, You are my Father,

My God

and the Rock of my Salvation!"

Send Your angels by the squad.

Do not punish me for my transgressions

With Your rod.

Lord help me

To be faithful so that I may not fail.

Let Your love prevail!

Let Your light shine through me,

For the sole purpose that

others can finally realize You are our destiny.
