Celebration Woes

This poem shows the good and bad parts of still being alive after nineteen years of the first diagnosis of my brainstem lesion.
I think of the days; May 4,5 and 6 as my days of birth. These days are the declaration of my first brainstem lesion. It has now been nineteen years since my first diagnosis. I am still alive! It has been a tumultuous time. (More lesions, surgeries, etc.) I do not know whether to Praise God and Thank him; or curse him. I know that Karla and Karen would understand my predicament. A great profession of what you have been going through. With God's help and love and care a miracle has been in your life. We have a young girl Emily who had a brain stem growth and she was operated on and not getting it all it will grow back, so she is up to John Hopkins Hosp for the rest of her life. She is handling it well though.
