Chaos Reflux

What this is, I do not know – my mind chatters under license...read forwards and then back...see the point...? If you do, please let me know; I feel like the mouthpiece of chaos.

Come! Drink at my well

Eat not of sweet sounds that ring from the bell

Go! Now do my will

The changes fast wrought in your mind I instill

Confusion's writ large on the tomb of your life

Indelible urges to pain and to strife

So stab at your heart and murder your wife

My jollity speaks through the blade of your knife

Your belly’s gone sour

Go! This is the hour

Your breath kills my smoke

The smoldering lust of your loins is god’s joke

My words ring a jingle of sounds in your head

You’ll never see clearly because you are dead

Tumultuous garbage, the father of deeds

Your hair and your beard are green fungal weeds

Away with your joy and your offer of life

I’ll laze in my garage and f*** your dead wife

These words are my joke on the seat of your mind

My brain is a razor, the cuts are unkind

Undone! Undone is all hope of coherence

The Lord of Dispersion has written this page

Your wavefront’s a pattern of quantum interference

Scattered through time but never of age

Somehow your rhymes make this piece sound like a "joke".
What I mean is: it's really well written, it is dark and disturbing in content, but there is also this side of you that doesn't take it too seriously.
You can give morbid, concrete details, then question the reality of (their) existence. At least, this is how I "receive" this piece.

Frankly I think this is brilliant. The very essence of a mind and heart being pursued by confusion and dark despair and yet still running away. This is some heavy stuff and penned so masterfully. Any one who has been in such a dark place will understand.

Some sort of intellectual and philosphical acid reflux singeing the synapses in the brain, but makes total and coherent sense to me, Keith. In fact, it is a cool, collected and very lucid account of what you are grappling with, it seems to me. The strict form and metre hold it together; the tone, register and diction are all consistent. Nope, no confusion of writing here. And a cleverly conceived and executed picture of that evil Slow Burn... Makes me feel spit-roasted! :)) Kate xx

Interesting write, Keith. If they don't understand it, it's just because they're jealous the voices aren't talking to them....
