If we shroud all thinks in darkness, then our thoughts are set free...

 The 37th Raven

Black the Raven in Black sky

For souls long lost the Raven scries

Black the fate of spirits lost

Beneath the ghostly Raven’s skies

Black the Earth that births still life

Black the chilling streams

Black the heart of stillborn man

Rough-hewn from god’s Black dreams

Black the mind of Adam’s spawn

Yet Red the heart of Eve

So dark the journey of mankind

God’s tapestry to weave

Black the forests, Black the trees

Black the whispering leaf

Black the silent breeze that blows

Through Black eternal grief

Black the mind of humankind

That cut its gods adrift

Black the soul of man set free

Beyond the demons’ rift

Black the seas and black the skies

Black the mountains tall

Black the rivers and the streams

And Black the nightmare call

Black the words that lead to war

Black the words of death

Black the pride that leads to fall

Black the final breath

Black the moon that sails on high

Black-flame the sun burns dark

Black the stars against the night

And Black the songless lark

Black the hollowness of man

Black his tainted heart

Black the thoughts that kill the Christs

And bring about the dark

Black the tide of null shall rise

Against the light of birth

For Black was first and shall be last

And dark shall be the Earth

All thought yield up into the night

Bid welcome to the dark

For Black shall all things drown in time

And slay the silent lark

Black silence bids thee to its heart

Black silence bids thee lie

Amid the Blackness of thy thoughts

‘tis time for thee to die

So much blackness within, where has the light gone? Truly a love for a vampire though!
As Jasmin stated, a heavy burden

Such darkness in the souls of man that fly in the sky, the poor Ravens carry a heavy burden Keith, bless ya!

Next Arrivals by Robin Ouzman Hislop

Robin Ouzman Hislop's poetry is certainly in dialogue with some of the key architects of the 'poetics of indeterminacy' – both the Modernist strands represented by the likes of Beckett and Stein, and the postmodernist strands represented, initially,

You Look FatCalgary by RickthePoetWarrior

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
