My soul trembles on the Edge of Night...

 Hovering over mind’s dark death

Shunned by the pestilence of the Sun

Bathe naked in the Moon’s chill breath

Futile cause by time outrun

At Night’s Edge do our spirits lie

Feeding on a carrion feast of souls

At Night’s Edge gather souls to die

Loud the bell of lies now tolls

Through dark skies our spirits fly

Darkling spirits of the dead unborn

Mock helpless innocence soon to die

Reap children as the bloodied corn

We are the dead, Night’s Edge calls

Rise the harbingers of broken doom

Rise swiftly now as the black night falls

Throats gush blood into the tomb

Night’s Edge calls the fading sky

The stars bleed tears into the womb

Night’s children stir the dark and cry

Night’s breath swells the pregnant tomb

Night’s birth at the edge of Dark

All broken flesh suffused with night

The bruised and bloodied broken lark

Falls from heaven’s accursed light

Night’s Edge!

Night’s Edge!

Night’s Edge!

 Reviews of "Night's Edge"
Reviewed by Ronald Hull
Reviewed on April 12, 2013
I welcome night's edge, when the wind dies down and peace and calm come over the land. I can hear the night birds calling, lay my head down and go to sleep, perchance to dream sweet dreams. And soon, here comes morning edge to wake me up with bright sun.

You Look FatCalgary by RickthePoetWarrior

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
