Your lust frozen on winters' breath
Huffing hungrily upon my neck
Your musk curls around me like steam
Your affection wiggle
with agitated inflection
Living in a TENT of conundrum
Basking like a rod of shiny vision
Adrift in a mist that opens and penetrates my pores
Pinching my desire for fire!
As a great flurry of Adam
Releases the golden apple in my saddle,
Oh...how I watched it grow!
As winters' light blows in
Horizontal to the trees
Telling tall tales
Of the unrequited,
A crown of celestial light
Lost in our mist,
Catholicism couldn't keep me holy
Couldn't keep me from frolicking in the
Land of green mountains and cold rivers
Squatting on unpolished fate
Watching you surrender to my taste
My generous offer of French wine
Which like poetry proffers
Love, freedom and truth.
Too often a mans' wisdom
Lies in his COCK!
But fortunately I have strayed
From the flock,
Engulfed in flames as high as the moon,
Tears from the sun make me swoon...
Having lost my voice screaming
In the fire!
My hunger deflated hangs
Over my constraint like
A broken tree branch
In the aftermath of a storm;
And I'm left panting and
Clutching the cross;
ANGRY at my GAUCHE humanity,
But hey, c'est la vie!
So beautifully rendered that I savored each line of this poem of regret. You certainly know how to tease the meaning out of your words with wonderful adjectives, similes and metaphors. I can't help thinking that you have experienced the bracing breath of winter, far from your tropical birthplace, in order to write like this about the coldness of the brushoff you received from your misstep with a prize unfulfilled.
And, yes, I have experienced a sleepless night or two for having made a faux pas with someone that I cared about.
A people’s heart can be found in their poetic words. In history men and women have stood firmly upon their soapboxes and street corners, rallying the deepest beliefs of people to rise up and be heard. The poetrypages.com has offered that voice a new
