Standing in a corner
beyond the realm of a dream
Where reality has no ground
and lost souls are redeemed.
I cover my eyes to absorb the darkness
this room is so obscene
Forcing its way into my mind
making me feel so unclean.
Movement in the darkness
I try to discern its physique
words spoken over
It’s vocabulary so oblique.
Dancing around in my mind
to a song so barren and void
Trying to win over my psyche
to seek and destroy.
Destitution on the verge
telling me lies
As the demon sings its song
I feign to fortify.
