~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A DREAM?
I know you are only a dream
for perfection is never real
and kisses like yours
only dreamed of
very rarely
you’re much too distant to touch
but touching you is too real
to ever attempt to deny
hands’ journey over
your skin
I know
you’re much more
than a scent on the wind
or a warm whisper in my ear
more than a poem of hot passion
or a siren’s song from a distant isle
you are
fire and ice and
all things a woman could be
to fully capture a man’s desire
giving him dreams of a woman like you
in your midnights do you dream of me too?
