at sunset turquoise seas reflect the vermillion
of a restive sun’s last shinning moments
it is then I imagine you, barefoot, half dressed
walking beside me on the white sand beach
your eyes speak the language of love
as your hand rests contentedly in mine
at moonrise the ocean breeze drifts in
and cools away the heat of a tropical day
lovers’ thoughts turn to candlelight kisses
and intimate pleasures of the night
you are the sun and moon, goddess of love
you are the one who causes my heart
to pound with desire and the blood
of passion to run hot through my veins
I feel your body tremble held close to mine
and your lips lift upward toward my kiss
the first of many we will savor in the darkness
I will hold you through the night, until dawn
when a renewed sun returns to warm the earth
with kisses of sunbeams and rays of love
