The sun was shining and the sky was blue.

I lay on the lawn and drunk the blue sky.

Time seemed to stand still; yet in truth it flew;

I felt content and I did not know why.

Strange how a moment can stay forever,

Stranger still how it can just disappear,

How the colour of the sky can alter,

When out of the blue a “grey thought” appear.

My thoughts were drifting, like the clouds up high,

I felt I was floating, drifting up, but

I knew that gravity I couldn’t defy.

For just one brief moment my eyes were shut…

Joy seemed to have over-flown from my cup…

I dreamt I was happy… then I woke up…

I will echo Mary's words because they are in fact true. A fine sonnet well-shared, Peter. Love and peace to you,
