The morning sun has broken
Through the darkness of the night.
The birds that flittered in the trees
Have spread their wings in flight.
The stars that shone so bright and clear
Oh, just mere hours ago
Have slowly faded one by one,
To where? We'll never know.
The moon that's hung for many years
To light the darkest sky,
Has left its home among the stars
To fade away and die.
To take these many wonders
For granted wasn't right;
For now they've gone so far away....
