Don’t tell me you love me and then go to her.
Don’t call me your “kitten” and rush to her.
Don’t tell me I’m the only one, while she’s waiting for you.
Don’t tell me I’m imagining things and need to “trust” you.
I trusted and loved you with all of my heart.
And yet, this other women pulled you back.
“Oh kitty I love”, “Oh kitty you’re the one”.
But this Kitty was left behind, while you rushed to that scum.
Don’t tell me it’s my fault.
Don’t’ tell me you hurt her for me.
My pain and torn heart is caused by you and she.
She has a husband of her own and yet still finds time for you.
Don’t tell me you love me again, I’m no longer your fool.
Don’t remind me of our years together,
Don’t remind me of our history,
Twenty-seven years of loving you,
Only brought me to my knees.
Don’t tell me she’s a nice woman.
Don’t tell me it’s over between you two for me.
You’re still seeing her and spend time in her bed,
Regardless of her own man.
Don’t lie anymore; take her she’s yours to use
Don’t think for a moment, my life will end because of you.
Don’t think for a second I will forgive and forget
You can never make amends.
So many years have passed.
So many times I’ve taken you back.
I had an unconditional love for you,
I was vulnerable and worshiped you too.
Your every wish was my command.
My heart and life was in your hands.
And yet, you’ve ripped my heart to shreds.
And then wanted me back again.
My heart is empty, when it comes to you.
My heart no longer yearns for you.
She can have you, and so can the others.
This Kitty can't be bothered...
Don't tell me, I'll forgive you anything.
That was true at one time.
Don't tell me, you own my heart and soul.
That was true at one time.
This Kitty says goodbye...

While reading this, I realize many women have gone through the same thing. You're a very real writer. From what I see, you take the deepest of feelings, pains, joys and create beautiful art from them.
I have enjoyed reading all of your work so far. I'm going onto the short stories next. Carey
Questions, unquestioned discoveries, and answers in parable and rhyme…. This collection records a journey starting with a 1960s retrospective and the first man on the moon, moving to a new millennium welcomed in with a terrorist spin, family crises,
In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
