thought I'd repost this one... This was the very first poem I ever wrote. My Grandfather and Grandmother were amazed that I could write this when I had not yet been in love, and was only fifteen. I was asked to read it, by my Grandfather, at my Gradmother's funeral. They felt that it defined their relationship perfectly. All who read it were amazed.
True love rides the wings of a butterfly Graceful and beautiful as it can be Dancing and singing in the clouded sky Bringing joy and friendship to you and me But true love comes unexpected now And as it waits for its chance to descend It leaves you to wondering when and how Leaving you longing for a permanent friend Things not yet felt if you�ve never been in love The look of a mother at her child The flapping wings of a white mourning dove None of these feelings ever are mild And happen upon the right love for you It can make your wishes and dreams come true

So good for a young child to write. It came from you heart and will stay there with you always. Expressing your true feelings is great.
