Don't refer to the waiter as crabby.

If he's short don't call him a shrimp

and just forget the fancy hors d' oeuvre

if it's served with a clam juice dip

Don't assume they all prefer swimming

or have an aversion to sauce of tartar.

Never suggest a basket of bread balls

or mention when they're out of water.

in short..........

Never order a seafood dish

when you're dining with a fish.

in conclusion........

Never, oh never neglect

staying politically correct.

Good to see your writing again, Pat.
Enjoyed this one.
Who is Paul? Son?
Met with Bob and he seemed nice enough until I said I used medicinal pot for chemo therapy help and he went ballistic....Go figure.
I've had two rounds of chemo and surgery for Pancreatic cancer.
All is well now, but last year and part of this one has been a bitch.

When in Rome...agree with the Romans! Tell them what they want to hear and they'll love you for it forever! This is a very profound poem which calls for time to digest but OH how I ENJOYED relishing it. Yum!

ONE HAS NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER TO EMBARASS OR INTIMIDATE A WAITER/WAITRESS WITH CRUEL COMMENTS ABOUT THEIR PHYSICAL APPEARANCE...HOWEVER...IF THE SERVICE IS LOUSY, SAY SO...IN THE POLITICALLY CORRECT MANNER. YOU KNOW HOW IT'S DONE...WITH A SMILE, AND 'NO TIP' AT ALL! THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS & FAITH...
