I was watching the Maury Povich show the other day and it was about husbands who felt they owned their wives after the two little words 'I Do'. I was disgusted at the way the men treated the women as well as the way the women were allowing themselves to be treated. With that said, the following words came to mind.
A HUSBAND'S TWISTED THINKING You thought you could rule my life after we became husband and wife Just because I said I do does not mean I bow to you Where did you obtain this invisible key to think you are in charge of me? You must have lost your mind to think I was your property all this time ONLY God is in control of me There is only one almighty You say you have his direct line You better repent while there is still time For when it is your turn to go before him you better heed this warning It would be very wise to get down on your knees and ask for forgiveness . . . don�t forget to say please Ask him to change your evil ways or only heat you will feel in your final days

Quite a strong poem. Husband and wife are one. Love given freely is not forced. To have a wife is a blesing. Enjoyed

Whomever feels the need to control others is very insecure, and, sadly, only knows one way to think and behave. Not only should they pray but we should pray for them to truly follow God's way.

There is much I could say on this poem. I was once married to a man who as soon as we said I do; changed. I week later I called a lawyer looking for a way out.
Eleven years later and with 3 children to this bastard I took all three and left! (Ran!) What kept me there you ask? Fear, for each night I never knew if I'd awake, and before people judge they should actually walk in the persons shoes and see, feel first hand the effects.
I have also seen equal evil in some so-called women.Great write! Blessings, Holly

Any person that demeans; belittles; abuses; is not human in my eyes. I've seen it in both sexes: man does not have exclusive rights on this territory. However, it is sad, especially when the abused will not walk out of this situation: "But I love him/her." If they love themselves, they will say, "No more."

What gets me are the paternity shows: if men would stop mucking around, screwing everything in a skirt, and if women would keep their legs together.............don't get me started!!!!! LOL

Shame. Equal partnerships are just that: equal. Give and take.

I have observed this type of behavior from some husbands. I have also observed this same type of behavior from some wives! A marriage should be equal fifty/fifty. Thought proviking write my friend!
