For some reason there are many that do not want to roll up their sleeves and get down in the trenches, so they would rather disrupt lives and spread lies than see their fellow man succeed.

All I can say is haters get a new occupation, because "WE", hard working citizens of the universe, are tired as heck and "WE" are not going to take it any more.

MY LIFE IS NO LONGER ON THE LINE

Because it’s in the FATHER’S hands

© 2007 by April Sims

As I stand proudly before you

Like the bionic woman . . . renewed, improved and brand new

I’m back . . . bigger, better and stronger than before

I am no longer their lyrically spitting, picture taking whore

You will hear no beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeps or

See any flatlines here today

Mine enemies thought they

Conquered me

  Pummeled me

and

   Left me to die

and they did not care if my babies cried

They slung muck and mud at me

And the more I resisted, the more it covered me

So I became very still, put my hands together and fell to me knees

And that’s when I felt a warm and reassuring breeze

That dried my eyes and whispered to me

Remember me?

Have you forgotten about me?

You are trying to do everything alone

Taking lick after lick and stone after stone

Always putting others before yourself

Because you did not want to worry me

Yes, I am very busy

But never too busy for my children

Even though I have over a trillion

My child you are not alone

Let them throw their sticks and their stones

I am the creator, breaker and mender of all bones

Place your problems in my hands child

So I have placed my problems in the Creator’s hands

I felt light than a feather and could once again smile

Ready to weather . . . any storm

Highly favored and transformed

Rediscovering the Father is omnipotent

And GREATER than any hater

For He created the earth, stars, sun and moon

And reminded me to walk in my purpose and do what He sent me here to do

He reminded me that no matter what I do or what I say

The ones that choose the dark side will hate on me anyway

My Father reminded me that He is GREAT

And I am an extension of His GREATNESS

So I have no choice but to be GREAT

So hate on haters hate

I now wear mine enemies like faux furs

So when they shoot their ice ice baby

Instead of freezing me they keep me warm which deflects the cold

The more they hate on me behold . . . the warmer I get

And they haven’t seen anything yet

According to studies warm muscles have more elasticity

So the next time you think you are breaking me

Think again, because I stack mine enemies like bricks

Converting their negative energy into positive electricity

To recharge my batteries

I will now use them to gauge how well I am doing

So I continue along the right path and stay on track

Because haters only want to ruin and hack

Those that they envy and fear

Give me your ear and listen to this here

Brother Malcolm once said, “Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer”

And I have made a solemn oath to myself to keep mine enemies so close

You would think we were conjoined twins

Not knowing where one starts and the other begins

I will give them enough rope to hang themselves

And every step of the way pray for them

And hope they will not continue to condemn

I will continue to pray that they will step out of the darkness and into the light

So they can reclaim their invite

Because the Father has prepared a table for all of his children

We were all born with an invitation and free will

And no matter what your name is

Jill, Billy Bob or Will

I will not allow anyone to make me move my feet and lose my seat

Your poem is, indeed, a powerful reminder that we are created in His image and likeness, and with Him our "life is no longer on the line."

Thank you for your wisdom and light.

You Look FatCalgary by RickthePoetWarrior

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
